Summer is here and that means it’s time to be extra vigilant about protecting our skin! We of course think about SPF first, but there are a few other things to do to help protect your skin. Let me share!
Wearing a sun hat will be so helpful! Using an SPF isn’t enough to protect your face against the powerful summer sun. I personally use a baseball cap most days, but when I know I will be out in the sun for a long period of time a wide brim sun hat is what I grab. Here are a couple of my favorite options that will keep you stylish & protected!
There are THREE products that will help you fight uv damage! Use these in your every day routine to get ahead of any unwanted hyperpigmentation.
- TITOK Antioxidant serum, this uses a multi-c cocktail with Kakadu plum
- Solar Recover, this is a new product available in the spa that uses Vit E, Calendula, French Seaweed & more
- Mount Lai Vitamin C Oil, the potent Vit C mixed with the high antioxidants from the elderberry & goji berry
All of these products and ingredients will fight the uv damage and bring healthy life back to your skin!
Of course SPF! I still love using Aloe Up SPF for my face since it’s a great protection and works well under makeup. It also has a great texture, so reapplying while by the water is no problem! Now remember, it’s best to reapply every 2-3 hours! It works well for the body as well, but for a quicker application I often reach for the Alba SPF spray. It’s gluten free, cruelty free & a 3 on the EWG scale, so even though it’s an aerosol I don’t stress.
Last but not least! Do not neglect your in spa treatments! Life gets busy and summer is full of travel, but missing a monthly treatment in summer will make you feel like you’re missing two or more! Reason is the sun exposure is causing dead skin cells to shed more rapidly. Do not let summer create congestion, fine lines or hyperpigmentation! Give your skin what it needs, when it needs it, so your skin can be happy and glowing through all the seasons!
